BASIC COMPOSITION PART-2 aka FILLING THE FRAME & FRAME WITHIN FRAME
Hi y'all. These blogs are about "how to capture pics in a different perspective than usual ", "how to edit them in according with our moods", "particularly how to make them better". Especially composition is everything to a photograph. And composition consists of many sub-parts. Well we can't learn them all at once, so let's take one step at a time. With that being said, let's start our baby steps into the topic. Today's topic is about COMPOSITION PART-2.
Well by reading the last 2 blogs, you would got a better idea of why frames are so important. This blog is a continuation of the previous blog about COMPOSITION. Composition has so many guidelines, we saw some, now is the time to look the remaining.
FILLING THE FRAME :
While taking a photograph, if you have so much distraction in the background, it's advisable that, you move your camera close to the subject and try to fill the frame. By doing this you will get rid of annoying background and your main subject would look great. Also as an additional benefit, you would be giving good details about the subject.
You see, in the first picture of that bird, that background seems to occupy more space in the photograph than our main subject. By closing up and filling the frame, our subject got the attention and focus which it deserves.
In the second picture, you can clearly spot the difference. By filling the frame, that tower looks majestic.
In the third picture, by filling the frame, we got so much of details. We can clearly see those beautiful eyes, whiskers and hair of that cat. We got so many great details by filling the frame.
FRAME WITHIN FRAME :
In the first picture, we can see that, a boy standing in a oval shaped frame. That frame gave the picture an extra beautiful look. Moreover framing that boy in a frame gave an extra importance and focus to the boy.
- When you have more disturbing background, try to move camera close to object and fill the frame.
- By filling the frame, you will get good amount of details of the subject.
- "Frame with Frame" is a very useful guideline. By following this, you would get some extra-ordinary shots.
NEXT-UP :
- Composition Part-3( Rule of odds, leading lines, symmetry, tension in the picture due to diagonal lines).
